All Moved In

Surprise! Trenton has already made himself at home in the condo we are renting. Without childproof cabinets, I decided not to even store stuff in the lower cabinets, which makes for some great hiding places. He figured out how to crawl in them and close the door the first day we lived here! I will post some more pictures later, although it's not much to see anyway. We're crammed pretty tight in here :-) Trenton and I did go take some pictures at the old house, though, on the last day we officially owned it. The slideshow is below. It's definitely a bittersweet feeling, but we are super excited about our new house to come!!

Who's There

Trenton is so observant! He watches how often we look through the peephole to see who's at the door and so now if he thinks someone is there he tries to look through the door too. He just shoves his face into the door as if he can see something; it's so funny! I tried to get it on video, but he's learned when I'm faking him out and now pulls the blinds or tries to open the door so I only got one "look" on camera, but you'll get the idea :-)

Trenton's New Game

Trenton likes to climb on the couch himself now that he knows how to do it. Well thank goodness Landon was there with him this time! He decided just to walk off the couch without any thought to the floor or the fact that he was going to face plant. Landon caught him and thus began a half hour game of jumping off the couch - just like boys :-) You can see right when the video starts how he steps off without fear!

Happy Father's Day

It's kinda freaky how much Trenton looks like Landon already, but with daddy's glasses on it's even more obvious! Here's the two of them on Father's Day right before Trenton went to bed. We had a fun day going to Olive Garden for lunch, taking a family nap in the afternoon, and then renting old James Bond movies. It was my first time seeing Sean Connery as Bond! Landon enjoyed his day.

Haircut

Uncle Chris and Trenton both got haircuts on the same night, so I tried to take a before picture. Trenton didn't really feel like looking at the camera and smiling. This was my best effort. To get the effect, you have to look at how long his bangs are . . .

And here are a couple of after shots. It probably doesn't look that much different on camera, but in person (and maybe it's just because I'm the mother!!) he looks a lot older. I only did the 3/4 inch clip because I was too chicken to go shorter. If Landon had been home, I'm sure Trenton would have had a full on buzz!!

Trenton and Daddy

While Landon and I were in San Diego, we went to a local surf shop called Hansen's in Encinitas and bought Trenton and Landon matching shirts. We went to the park and took some adorable pictures of them together.

Going to the Park in Arizona

After our entire family got done having the flu, we decided we needed to get outside for some fresh air and some play time. We waited until 5:00 when the sun isn't as high or as hot, but poor Trenton still had cheeks as red as cherries within 5 minutes! He enjoyed the slides and the ramps and the sand, but he still has no interest in the swings. We only stayed for half an hour to protect his skin, which was the perfect amount of time before Landon and I were ready for air conditioning again :-)

Learning more and more new things

I had some clean laundry on the couch and Trenton decided that he knows how to dress himself now! He grabbed a pile of both shirts and shorts and proceeded to put them all on one leg . . .

. . . and then walk around!

I had trouble taking a picture because every time I crouched down to snap one, he would come walking towards me and be too large for the frame!

Family Blessing Service

As part of Central's Family Blessing service, they take a complimentary family picture. We never take any because you need that 4th person around to be the cameraman. I am so excited to have one to hang on our wall finally! It was hard to get Trenton to smile, though, so instead in this picture we have a good and proper English boy for a son :-)
