Video Time!
Here is a close up video of Trenton smiling and babbling. He was playing in Tazo's crate when he saw me with the camera. All of a sudden the camera became a more interesting toy than the crate! He keeps trying to grab it from me . . . watch and laugh :)

Stardom
Catch Up
I posted a smattering of pictures all at once. I was going through my computer and there were SO many cute ones; I couldn't resist!
Hope it's not sensory overload :)
Rock On!
Trenton's Fort or Tazo's Crate?
The Lazy Boy

Landon just got a lazy boy, which is something he has dreamed about for 10 years! It came in two pieces and he had to connect it and then lock it in place with a screwdriver. Trenton crawled over to help dad with his tools! Then when the project was completed, he got to sit in the chair and celebrate success with dad.
Family Time
Bathtime

Here's a couple of pictures of Trenton in his bath. He loves the water, but I have to say his favorite part of bathtime is the washcloth! I'm now in the habit of pulling two washcloths out of the cabinet when preparing for the bath because I know he'll want one and I'll need one to wash. It's so funny how quickly he learned to look for it. I'll put him in his little bath chair and he'll practically fall out of it trying to reach for the cloths I have on the side of the tub!! Then, after we're done and I pull him out of the tub, he holds on to the cloth still. Most of the time he doesn't even hold it in his hands, but hanging from his mouth while his arms wave around in the air in excitement. It's very cute and it's become one of his quirks that we'll enjoy reminding him when he's older.
Bam Bam

This is a bat that Corey and Amaris gave Trenton when he was born. Corey works in the Sports Ministry at Central and he and his wife are in the small group we just started. The bat just now became one of Trenton's favorite toys! We call him our own little Bam Bam because he waves it around and drags it behind him when he's crawling. It's especially funny when he does his "ooh ooh" face holding the bat because he sounds like a little caveman :)

Family Reunion in Colorado
We just got back from 8 days in Colorado with my family, my aunts and uncles, and my Grandma. It was such a blast and so wonderful to all be together. Plus, the weather was cool and we were surrounded by trees and mountains. We stayed in a cabin that sleeps 14 in Frisco, a ski resort town that was beautiful. We were right by the little downtown full of shops and bakeries and so we walked there a couple of times during the week. Plus, we rafted on the Arkansas River, watched a Rockies game at Coors Field, played bocce ball and volleyball at a local park, and celebrated my mom and my aunt's birthdays with presents and pie! Every moment together was so special, especially since we live far away. Trenton got a lot of time with my family, especially his aunt Caitlyn who wanted to hold him and his diaper bag every time we left the cabin! :) She and Trenton are going to be really close. Below are some pictures with the highlights of the trip.

I'm A Big Boy Now

Well, Trenton is growing up, much to my chagrin! Today he officially started drinking from a sippy cup. --He still likes to hold it with two hands and two feet just like his bottle :) --He'd been getting more and more bored with the bottle. I would try the sippy cup occasionally only to pour the formula in a bottle and let him finish that way. But even so he would go times without finishing his bottle. He'd drink half and then leave it behind to go play. I think he's just content with his solid food most of the time because he does so well finishing those meals. He started meat now, so in the morning he eats cereal as well as an entire jar of fruit and an entire jar of vegetables. Then in the afternoon and at night he eats three jars at each meal: fruit, vegetable, and meat. So, anyway, I decided cold turkey might be the best way with the bottle. He wasn't that attached to it anyway it seemed. Just this afternoon he lay on his stuffed animal puppy from dad and drank from his cup! The funny thing is he still didn't finish and then went down for a nap. I guess he knows what he needs, but I hope he's getting enough water and fluids. Anyway, the point of this post is not his diet but that my little boy is a big boy now drinking from a cup and eating three meals a day in his highchair. How fast it has all gone!

Fire In The Sky
Landon and I didn't have our camera on the Fourth of July (of course!) so here's a stolen page from Kristal's blog. She took a family picture for us. (If you click on it, it will enlarge so you can see it better.) Notice Trenton is not even looking at the camera; he was mesmerized by the fireworks. Landon worked for 11 hours that day, out in the heat too, but he was able to break away for the fireworks and come sit by us. Trenton was so happy to see his daddy so he sat on his lap the entire show. It was so cute seeing him stare at the sky, but then turn around to see daddy and touch his face. We also saw Big Dave and Mrs. A there. They were smart and brought lawn chairs, while Kristal and I forgot to bring anything! We carpooled and arrived around seven for the concert. That's when we realized it was a giant field and we had nothing. So, we sacrificed our babie's blankets and sat on them!! Then when the concert ended, her husband Shaun found us and led us to a group of our friends who had brought three blankets! Thank goodness. Overall, the singing was fun to listen to and the fireworks were great. An awesome time for Trenton's first Fourth of July :)

Travels
In June, Trenton and I went to Idaho to visit family while Dad went to Junior High Camp in CA. Chris' girlfriend Anne came along as well, so it was fun spending time with her. We had such a relaxing time playing games, watching movies, and just enjoying being together. We celebrated Father's Day and my parent's 25th Anniversary while we were there by going out to the Beachhouse right on the lake. We also spent a couple of days on the boat. I got to go tubing, which I haven't done since high school, and it was Trenton's first time on a boat!

Figuring this whole thing out...
Well, my new friend Kristal who just moved to AZ from CA with her husband and daughter showed me how to blog. I figured it's much easier that emailing pictures of Trenton, since now you guys can just get online and see the MANY new ones I am constantly taking :) I don't want to clog up your inbox!! Plus, now that I'm a stay at home mom I have the time to do this right?! Check back whenever and I'll make sure I keep up with the details so you feel like you're watching Trenton grow right along with Landon and me.
